What To Expect In Counselling

I provide individual counselling to adults.

The sessions can be in person in Edmonton or tele heath therapy across Alberta.

During our first session together, I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel free to open up to share your struggles in life.  I listen with compassion to understand what is happening to you. I ask questions to clarify how this situation affects all areas of your life: mental, physical, spiritual and relationships.  I work with you based on your goals to create a plan to help you heal.

Every person is unique.

I draw from many therapies considered best practices depending on your need.  These include; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement and Desensitization (EMDR), Hypnotherapy and/or IRest.  I am trained and culturally sensitive in my approach.  I understand that every person is unique, so together, we create a treatment plan customized to you.

Are there issues you find hard to face and feel like you need support in your life?

I work with numerous issues such as trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, assertive communication, boundaries, anger, emotional regulation, life transitions and finding new meaning.
